Watauga River Fishing Cabins

The lodge offers multiple log cabins steps from the banks of the Watauga River. Perfect for small groups of anglers, or large groups have the opportunity to reserve the entire premises.

The larger structure is divided into 3 rooms each with separate entry, 2 pillowtop queen beds and independent bathrooms. The second cabin adds privacy and the luxury of a kitchenette for anglers wanting to maximize time on the water.

The Property

Tucked neatly into a grove of hardwoods, two new log structures comprise the first phase of construction and hearken back to the historical cabin dating to 1827 renovated on premises.

Our Accommodations

Range Cabin

The original cabin was built in 1861 and underwent an addition and remodel in the early 80's.

Main Cabin

The main cabin has three suite rooms under one roof. They share a common full length front porch with river views.

Tom’s Cabin

A stand alone one bedroom cabin. It has two pillow top queen beds, a full bath with a big stone shower, a small but full kitchen and a furnished screened porch with a stone gas log fireplace.

The BBQ Shack

This structure was previously a little fish camp shelter. It sits right on the river. We added a covered front deck and turned it into an outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator, convection oven and large stainless gas grill. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and serving meals. With a fire pit out front, it is the favored evening spot on the river.
